Sudan Justice Minister: Burhan Orders Dropping Political Cases, Grants Immunity

On September 1, 2026, in Sudan, Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan issued written guarantees to drop public lawsuits against individuals based on political opinion and grant temporary procedural immunity to participants in the Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue initiative.
