The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved 107 resolution plans nationwide valued at ₹11,071.14 crore in the second quarter of 2026-27. The Tribunal has described this as its highest-ever quarterly performance since its establishment. Five benches of the NCLT accounted for over 94 per cent of the value of all resolution plans approved across the country during the second quarter of financial year 2026-27, data released by the Tribunal shows.The benches at Mumbai, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Indore and Chandigarh together approved resolution plans worth about ₹10,416 crore between July and September 2026.Mumbai accounted for the largest share, approving 35 resolution plans worth about ₹4,199.47 crore. Ahmedabad followed in value terms, with eight plans worth around ₹2,382.04 crore.The Principal Bench and New Delhi Bench approved 29 plans worth approximately ₹1,648.34 crore. Indore approved six plans worth around ₹1,106.66 crore, while Chandigarh cleared nine plans worth approximately ₹1,079.07 crore.Together, the five benches accounted for around 94 per cent of the total value of resolution plans approved during the quarter.The NCLT has a nationwide network comprising the Principal Bench at New Delhi and 15 regional benches.The data also reveals that the number of resolution plans approved by a bench did not necessarily correspond with their monetary value.
