Togo: Accounting Teachers Trained in Sage 100 and Taxation

Since Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 106 accounting teachers have been attending a training session in Lomé focused on Sage 100 accounting software and taxation. Organized by the National Institute for Vocational Training and Professional Development (INFPP), the session aims to update teachers’ skills and develop teaching materials tailored to final-year G2 students. The objective is to better align classroom instruction with accounting practices used in the workplace, particularly in computerized accounting and taxation. “Today, accountants need to be proficient in digital tools,” said Koffi Tchankoni, executive secretary of the National Fund for Apprenticeship, Training and Professional Development (FNAFPP), which is supporting the initiative. The training covers Sage 100 configuration, setting up a chart of accounts, recording accounting transactions and preparing financial statements. The taxation component is intended to strengthen teachers’ knowledge of Togo’s tax system and the main taxes and levies.
