Supreme Court: Remarks on Repeated Adjournments in Krishna Janmabhoomi Dispute

The Supreme Court on Wednesday remarked that a matter related to the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute was "jinxed", while commenting on repeated adjournments in the case.A bench of Justices Sanjay Kumar and Sanjeev Sachdeva was hearing a plea challenging an Allahabad High Court order that designated one Hindu party as the representative for all devotees of Lord Krishna."We will have to hear all of you. This matter is jinxed in that sense. Getting adjourned from date after date…," the Court remarked. The bench made the comment after it was told that plaintiffs before the High Court had failed to come to an understanding. The parties had earlier indicated a possibility of settlement over the dispute arising within the Hindu side.
