Somalia PM: Reviews 2022-2026 Government Performance Report

Mogadishu, Somalia — Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Sunday inspected a centre preparing a report on the performance of his DanQaran government covering the period from 2022 to 2026. The centre, located within the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development, is compiling an assessment of the government's achievements during its term. Hamza said his government had made "tangible" progress, which he said was guided by the National Transformation Plan and Somalia's long-term Vision 2060. Hamza called for greater unity, cooperation and sustained efforts to achieve lasting development, saying the government's goal was a united, peaceful and prosperous Somalia able to develop and benefit from its natural resources. "We are working towards a united Somalia," Hamza said, while acknowledging that the country still faced a long road requiring patience and perseverance. The report is part of the DanQaran government's accountability efforts and includes contributions from all government ministries and agencies.
