
Nigerian Exporters to Visit Cameroon for Trade Partnerships
A delegation from the Nigerian Exporters Association is expected in Cameroon from October 18 to 24, 2026, to identify local partners and distributors. According to Cameroon’s Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock and Forestry (CAPEF), the business mission aims to develop bilateral trade in agricultural products, manufactured goods and services. CAPEF says a trade fair is scheduled for October 20, alongside business-to-business meetings at its headquarters in Yaoundé. Discussions are also expected to explore opportunities for joint projects in transportation, goods storage and industry. Trade Remains Largely in Nigeria’s Favor According to Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), merchandise trade between the two countries reached 266.31 billion naira, or approximately CFA111.16 billion, between April and June 2026. During that period, Nigeria exported goods worth 203.18 billion naira, or about CFA84.81 billion, to Cameroon. Its imports from Cameroon totaled 63.13 billion naira, equivalent to approximately CFA26.35 billion. Nigerian exports therefore accounted for slightly more than three-quarters of the bilateral merchandise trade recorded during the quarter.
