The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the approved fares for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, with prices ranging from ₦7,560,822 to ₦7,882,822 depending on the departure zone. The commission stated that these fares were determined after considering prevailing exchange rates and service costs. According to NAHCON, pilgrims departing from the Maiduguri/Yola zone will pay the lowest fare of ₦7,560,822, while those from the Northern Zone will pay ₦7,672,822. In contrast, pilgrims from the Southern Zone will face the highest fare of ₦7,882,822. The commission emphasized that these fares are in line with the principle of transparency and cost-efficiency, as well as the Federal Government's commitment to the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.

NAHCON has also set key deadlines for the 2027 Hajj registration process. Intending pilgrims who had already deposited ₦5m will be required to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration. The commission directed new registrants to make payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims' Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions, or through approved Hajj Savings Scheme participating banks. Furthermore, NAHCON fixed September 26 as the final deadline for the complete upload of intending pilgrims' biometric data on the designated Nusuk-Masar digital platform.

The commission warned that failure to meet these deadlines will result in the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots. NAHCON emphasized that data synchronization and seat allocations depend entirely on timely remittances, and there will be no extension beyond the set deadlines. This means that pilgrims who fail to upload their biometric data or pay their fares by the specified dates risk losing their allocated spots for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage.
