In Cameroon, the Minister of Secondary Education, Pauline Nalova Lyonga, announced new modalities for the electronic payment of school contributions and official exam fees for the 2026/2027 school year, effective August 24, 2026. This directive mandates that parents, guardians, and students can settle required contributions and examination fees online, utilizing a procedure centered on the student's unique matriculation number. A preliminary step involves obtaining this matriculation number either from the dedicated platform cartescolaire.cm or directly from educational institutions. For new students entering Form One, Sixième, or Première Année, their respective schools are responsible for generating these matriculation numbers on the platform. Furthermore, the communication stipulates that heads of both public and private schools must conduct their 2025/2026 end-of-year class councils on the cartescolaire.cm platform, and specific guidance is provided for transferred students to ensure their matriculation details are updated in their new schools before any payments are made.
