
Camalco Injects CFA9.85 Billion into Camrail, Triples Stake
Camalco has injected CFA9.85 billion in cash into Camrail, nearly tripling its stake in the railway operator and giving the company behind the Minim-Martap bauxite project a larger interest in the transport network expected to carry its future mineral exports. The investment forms part of a CFA16.071 billion recapitalization of Camrail. The railway operator increased its share capital by CFA7.927 billion, or 51.8%, from CFA15.314 billion to CFA23.242 billion. An additional CFA8.143 billion was recorded as share premium.
