Zimbabwe, Mozambique Parliaments Sign MoU on Legislative Cooperation

The parliaments of Zimbabwe and Mozambique signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday to strengthen legislative cooperation, aiming to advance economic independence for both nations. This significant development occurred following a meeting between Zimbabwean Parliament Speaker Jacob Mudenda and his Mozambican counterpart, Margarida Adamugi Talapa, who emphasised the agreement's role in fostering stronger ties between the two legislative bodies. The stated objective is to ensure that lawmakers in both countries focus on enacting laws that serve the economic interests of their respective populations, building upon their shared history of political independence to achieve economic self-reliance.
