Winston Taylor Associates Are Getting Milbank Money… Eventually
What Happened
It’s a match! Winston Taylor, the transatlantic firm created when Winston & Strawn joined forces with the UK arm of Taylor Wessing , is the latest firm to sign on to the Milbank scale, Bloomberg Law reports . According to a memo viewed by Bloomberg Law, associates at the firm will see base salaries ranging from $235,000 for first-years up to $455,000 for the most senior associates. There is one catch, though. The raises don’t take effect until February 2027. Milbank’s new scale kicked in on July 1, 2026 , so Winston Taylor associates will be waiting a full seven months longer than their counterparts at the early matchers. Better late than never, but February is a long way off. Here’s what the scale will look like: The firm certainly has the money to make it work. Winston & Strawn brought in nearly $1.4 billion in 2025, with profits per equity partner reaching $4 million, and that’s before adding in the Taylor Wessing side of the house. Winston Taylor is the latest in the slow but steady drip of fall matches. Milbank set the new scale back in June, and plenty of Biglaw still hasn’t followed. Year-end bonus season may be what finally shakes loose the holdouts. Remember everyone, we depend on your tips to stay on top of important salary updates, so when your firm matches, please text us (646-820-8477) or email us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Matches”).
