The agency's efforts have resulted in 16,469 convictions, alongside providing counseling, treatment, and rehabilitation services to over 53,000 drug users. Furthermore, the NDLEA's "War Against Drug Abuse" advocacy campaign has reached nearly 5.9 million Nigerians through various community and school engagements, demonstrating a multi-faceted approach to tackling drug-related issues within the country.

Both the Nigerian and UAE authorities have expressed strong confidence in the potential impact of this new agreement. Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE's National Anti-Narcotics Authority, reaffirmed his country's dedication to collaborating with Nigeria to dismantle trafficking networks. He characterized the MoU as a logical progression of the ongoing cooperation between the two bodies.
