Mozambique Labor Ministry Provides Support to Former Mineworkers

The Ministry of Labour, Gender and Social Action (MTGAS) in Mozambique, on September 16, 2026, handed over production equipment, including a tractor and self-employment kits, to former mineworkers and their dependants in Guara-Guara Administrative Post, Búzi district, Sofala province. This initiative by the MTGAS involved the direct provision of tangible assets such as a tractor, related implements, agricultural inputs, and various self-employment kits, all intended to support productive activities and foster economic reintegration for a vulnerable segment of the population. This action represents a concrete governmental effort to address the socio-economic challenges faced by individuals transitioning out of the mining sector.
