Lagos Family Accuses LASUTH of Negligence in Patient Death

Ojelabi’s brother, Kolawole Ojelabi, publicly alleged that after being referred to LASUTH due to severe injuries from a road crash, Olatunde arrived at the Medical Emergency Unit before 9 am but was purportedly left outside the emergency ward for more than six hours without urgent intervention, due to a claimed lack of beds. This alleged delay, according to Kolawole, led to his brother's condition deteriorating, culminating in convulsions and cardiac arrest. LASUTH management, however, denied these claims in a statement, asserting that Olatunde was assessed and managed by relevant clinical teams upon his arrival.
