Cameroon's Sefeccam Partners With LDCwood for Timber Processing and Export

Cameroonian forestry company Sefeccam has partnered with Belgian producer LDCwood and timber trader RTT Houtimport to install three industrial kilns in Douala for the thermal modification of fraké wood. The project will bring to Cameroon an additional processing stage that LDCwood has previously carried out abroad on Cameroonian tropical timber. According to an announcement published September 17, 2026, by LDCwood parent company Lemahieu Group, Finnish manufacturer Jartek will supply the three kilns. The fraké will be sawn and thermally modified at Sefeccam’s Douala facility before being sold internationally under a new brand, SanghaWood. LDCwood will handle distribution to importers, distributors and agents. The partners have not disclosed the size of the investment, the production capacity of the three kilns or a planned start date. According to timber industry publication Houtwereld, the project remains at the cooperation-agreement stage, with no precise implementation schedule made public.
