Cameroon's CNCC Plans Logistics Hub for Cross-Border Trade

Cameroon’s National Shippers’ Council (CNCC) plans to develop a 10-hectare logistics facility in Kyé-Ossi to support transporters and cross-border trade with Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, extending its network of truck facilities to the country’s southern border. CNCC Director General Auguste Mbappé Penda said funding for the project is expected to be included in the agency’s 2027 budget. The investment amount has not been disclosed. The facility will primarily serve truck drivers and other participants in cross-border trade. Based on similar centers already developed by the CNCC, it is expected to include secure parking for heavy trucks, accommodation, food services and other amenities for drivers. The CNCC says such infrastructure can reduce disorderly truck parking and accident risks along major trade corridors.
