Cameroon CFHEC Training Program: Dual-Qualification Model for Engineers

The program, dubbed The Seagull Talents, is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Higher Education, the National Advanced School of Public Works (ENSTP), and China First Highway Engineering Company (CFHEC). This tripartite agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between universities and employers, ultimately improving graduate employability. The first cohort of 54 engineering students and construction workers has begun their training program, which includes ten days of certified instruction in topography and land surveying. This comprehensive approach combines classroom learning with practical exercises and site-based training to equip participants with the necessary skills for real-world applications. Upon completion of the initial training phase, participants will embark on a two-month internship on CFHEC construction projects in Cameroon. This hands-on experience will provide invaluable exposure to industry practices and standards.
