
CAM Advises BRLMs on Juniper Green Energy IPO
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised the book-running lead managers (BRLMs) on the initial public offering (IPO or the Issue) undertaken by Juniper Green Energy Limited (Company). The BRLMs were ICICI Securities Limited, HSBC Securities and Capital Markets (India) Private Limited, JM Financial Limited and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited. The IPO comprised a fresh issue by the Company of 80,009,150 equity shares of face value of Rs10 each, for cash at a price of Rs 225.00 per equity share (including a securities premium of Rs215 per equity share), aggregating to Rs 18,000 million (the Issue). The Issue constituted 14.06% of the post-Issue paid-up equity share capital of the Company. The Issue included a reservation of 98,039 equity shares aggregating Rs 20.00 million for subscription by eligible employees, with a discount of Rs 21.00 per equity share offered to eligible employees bidding in the employee reservation portion. The Company is among the top 10 largest renewable independent power producers in India by total capacity as at March 31, 2026 (including operational, under-construction contracted and under-construction awarded projects), and develops, builds, operates and maintains utility-scale solar, wind, hybrid and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, selling electricity to central and state government-backed off-takers. The transaction was led by Abhiroop Lahiri, Partner; with support from Chinar Gupta, Principal Associate; Medhashree Verma and Shreya Jain, Senior Associates; Ritvik Maheshwari, Sanskar Modi and Sayor Ray, Associates. Gokul Rajan, Partner (Regional Co-Head Capital Markets North) provided support on certain aspects of the transaction.
