Burkina Faso: Land Governance Project Concludes, Strengthening Land Rights

The Land-At-Scale project, officially known as the "Project de renforcement de la gouvernance foncière pour la sécurité alimentaire au Burkina Faso" (Project for Strengthening Land Governance for Food Security in Burkina Faso), concluded its three-year implementation period with a national closing ceremony held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Bobo-Dioulasso. This significant event marked the culmination of efforts by a consortium comprising Nitidæ, Oxfam, and the Observatoire national du foncier au Burkina Faso (ONF-BF), with financial backing from an unnamed society, all operating under the theme "De la terre au droit, du droit à l'avenir" (From land to law, from law to the future). The project's primary objective was to enhance land governance structures and practices within Burkina Faso, directly impacting the nation's food security landscape.
