BLG Appoints Ryan Tomicic as National Business Leader, International

Montreal-based partner helps firm offer counsel on inbound investment, cross-border operations Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) has announced the appointment of its Montreal-based partner Ryan Tomicic as national business leader of its international strategy, in which role he helps link the firm with global enterprises, multinational corporations, and foreign counsel. He has focused on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, equity financing, investments, restructurings, and private investment fund formation. Tomicic’s diverse client base has covered global private equity funds, venture capital funds, private companies, publicly traded companies, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and investors. Throughout his career, he has assisted with over 200 transactions representing more than US$10 billion in aggregate enterprise value, many of which involved non-Canadian parties and private equity funds or backed businesses. Tomicic passed the CFA Program Level II examination in 2013 and gained admission to the Quebec bar in 2011.
