The Directorate is responsible for the evaluation, registration, licensing, importation, and post-market surveillance of veterinary medicinal products used in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of animal diseases. By regulating veterinary products, ZAMRA contributes to improved animal health, livestock productivity, and food safety. The Directorate works closely with veterinary professionals, livestock producers, manufacturers, and importers to promote the responsible use of veterinary medicines and compliance with regulatory requirements.
